The Zambia Food Reserve Agency ensures national food security and income of farmers by sustaining a food reserve. The FRA has the responsibility to purchase crops from small land owners to provide financial support and stimulate small economic growth. Farmers in this program are required to distribute their crops to one out of 700 spots across the country to spread the wealth. The president of Zambia has stepped in and assisted the FRA with the essential finances needed to stimulate the program.
I think the FRA is a fantastic corporation. By buying from small land owners across the nation, poverty is decreased as wealth is spread to all parts of Zambia. Finances stimulate buisiness and prosperity amongst all companies, and by including small land owners in the farming equation, farming becomes more economically efficient across Zambia and food is equally distributed to those in need.
Suffering can compose a culture. Unfortunately, Zambia is among countless regions of Africa in need. Food shortages are a result of disfunction and poverty, and people are paying the price. The FRA symbolizes the spectactular persistance and endurance within the Zambian culture. Food characterizes a culture, and by preserving and distributing food equally across a nation, all people will be able to thrive and express themselves through food and culture.
